Shu-King

Shu-King
   The second of the nine authoritative works on Confucianism. The title means ‘The Book of History’, and the work consists of a collection of documents covering the history of China from about 2350 BC to 624 BC shortly before the birth of Confucius himself, to whom is attributed the selection and arrangement of the documents. The tone of the book concerns the moral duty of the rulers. The preceding work is the Yih-King; the following work is the Shi-King.
